It’s hard these days to find a person who you feel compatible with. I mean, at the end of the day, all someone really wants is to have someone who agrees with you on the basics of life. It’s nice to disagree with people, but if you’re going to be in a partnership with someone it seems important to have a common focus. It’s been a long time since I had that. The last time I had a relationship like that was with this Asian angel whom I spent almost a year. I’m wondering if I might be able to find someone like her on an Asian dating site, but it’s probably unlikely to have that kind of thing more than once in a lifetime.

I’ve never really been into the whole idea of loving someone for their faults. I don’t buy it. Faults are annoying, even if they’re “cute” for the first little while. That said, I think it’s important to recognize that (as the saying goes), people always have the faults of their qualities. Take, for example, what might happen if you meet a beautiful girl through a dating personals site who happened to be obsessed with calculating the infinite decimal places of Pi. Sure, if you’re like me and math makes your head explode slightly then it might make you a little crazy when she talks about how “interesting” it is. On the other hand, if she’s also able to teach you all kinds of interesting things about physics it might be worthwhile.
